This handbag is part of the collection we created for the event Fashion & Design Hasselt.
With this piece, we wanted to treat the leather in a way that gives it an entirely different feel (something that doesn’t immediately read as leather). We worked with a piece that was already damaged and intensified this effect in a controlled, repetitive manner, allowing a new kind of beauty to emerge from the process. The leather has been carefully rasped to create its unique texture.
