LNGDS218

The renovation project consists of a private residence on the upper floor and a restaurant on the ground floor.

The existing house had low ceilings and was divided into separate small rooms.

A new extension provides extra storage for the restaurant, while on the upper floor, a spacious kitchen was created.

The central load-bearing wall on the upper floor was partially removed and rounded, connecting the kitchen and garden with the living space and street.

On the ground floor, all functions were oriented towards the street. Structural interventions were minimized as much as possible. Instead of braking down all load-bearing walls, smaller openings were made. Instead of closing the old staircase hall, it was used as a void connecting the home and the workspace.
